Here's my illustration of LA ROUX. Now I'm not much of a fan of her music, but I do find her face fascinating, with her tomboy, androgynous and simplistic features. Though she dapples with futuristic stylings I quite feel she has a very 60s/70s vibe about her.
I like this remix version of 'In for The Kill' I found on youtube. It's eeriely ethereal and her vocals are more hauntingly.

You set me on fire LADYHAWKE!

Meow! Firstly; LADYHAWKE! LADYHAWKE! LADYHAWKE! La Clare likes Miss Ladyhawke, she has this 80s element to her which I love! My fave song of hers is definitely 'Back of the Van'. Here is an illustration I did of her in la back of a van, that is being engulfed in flames, somewhere far far off in la galaxy with a magical white horse which will take her back to Paris.
People often likened me to looking similar to her album artwork, below:

Well today should have been an uberly long stressful day at work, but fortunately I finished surprisingly early wwoooooooooooooopppp! And how did I celebrate my sudden freedom you ask? Well after skipping in la sunshine and humming along to lyricless songs, I went on a good splashing of 'CHAZZA SHOPPING' (meaning visiting la local charity shops on la hunt for magical finds). And OHHH! MY! I found some fantastical marvels today! Included two awesomely awesome winter coats, a vintage knit cardi with beautifully delicate metal fancy clasps, the tinyiest and cutest of porcelin tea cups, an amazingly tacky picture in frame, a wooden elf man with a huuuuuuggge nose whom I shall hang in my room, a wooden mederterain belly dancing woman figure whom shall marry la wooden elf man and they shall have wooden babies together! and AND I got a vintage limited celebration edition boxset of Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Through The Looking Glass at an jaw droppingly cheap price! Oh I'm still ever so excited over my finds :D

Rah Rah and a Gaga-Ga with a splashing of McQueen

Bonjour kittens and other fluffy people. Been meaning to post my illustration of Lady Gaga wearing the stunning outfit by the late Alexander McQueen's Spring 2010 collection. This is one of a few illustrations I have drawn in memory of the amazing Alexander McQueen. He was a huge inspiration not only to be but also the world. So this is very small token of my love and respect for a very talented icon. I hope you all like.
The following images are of Gaga wearing the outfit in her 'Bad Romance' music video and the catwalk photo of McQueen's magnifiscent collection.

And to say goodbye, the delightful song itself:

When I run in the dark, Daniel, I dream of home

Bat for Lashes "Daniel" illustration by me; clare and the bear.
I absolutely love Bat for Lashes!
Natasha Khan's voice is beautifully eerie and sits perfectly with her
ethereal songs. I adore her style, she's a magical hippie with a huge
essence of Peter Pan's Tiger Lily. Her quaint videos tell echoing
stories with heart breaking lyrics to match. The music video for
"Daniel" inspired me to draw. The haunting entities attired in black
which are tormenting Khan reminded me of the evil dress from
"Legend" where it seduces the princess into darkness, and also
reminded me of Gareth Pugh's early collections.
